HARE DUBBING PLUS is hare hair mixed with fine, soft synthetic fibres. It can be attached to the thread with the classic wax in a very simple and fast way, even if you are a beginner you will be able to make very compact strand right away. It is used to tie bodies and thoraxes of dry flies, wet flies and nymphs. Synthetic fibres reflect light very well and in contact with the sun they generate flashes and glows that can intrigue and attract fish, often enticing them to bite. The right amount of synthetic fibres ensures that your imitation does not appear too artificial in the eyes of the fish. You can decide whether to make very compact or more fluffy strand, depending on your needs.
Remember that the more compact the dubbing strand is, the less water it will absorb, while the fluffier it is, the more water it will tend to absorb, which will affect the final weight of the fly. Consequently, for dry flies it is best to create fairly compact strand.
